Originally from Alabama, Mike Jones has called Aiken home for several decades.  The first series of prints Mike released were of various scenes of Horse Creek Valley.  His most popular image from that series is of the old covered bridge in Graniteville.

More recently, Mike’s painting of South Boundary, entitled Boundary Oaks, has been the most popular print of South Boundary we have   ever carried.  We are proud to be Mike’s sole representative gallery.

 Jones’ work is much like another famous SC artist we feature here at Southside Gallery, Jim Harrison.  Great detail, wonderful perspective, all the while providing us with a look back at times when life was simpler… dirt roads, old stores and rustic barns… Americana at its best.
