Sharon Taylor
Padgett paints Aiken
County landscapes in an impressionistic style in
oils and acrylics. Many of her works are painted
en plein air. This term refers to painting
outdoors on location in order to capture the
mood, movement and brilliant colors of the
scene.

“Aiken County is beautiful and diverse,” she
says. “From high hills and bluffs to Carolina
Bays and winding rivers – we have endless
inspirations for the landscape artist.”
Sharon
is president of the Aiken Artist Guild. She
teaches painting at the Aiken Center for the
Arts and from her home studio in Aiken. She
studied art at Jacksonville University and with
the late Zita Mellon of Allendale and with
Italian modern artist Livio Valentini.
