Frequently Asked Questions:

How did Easy Street Magazine get its name?
It has a double meaning:

  • First, Easy Street is a real place. That is to say it's a real street in the historic district of downtown Aiken, South Carolina. Did we mention it intersects with Whiskey Road? Easy Street and Whiskey Road... now there's an intersection waiting to be exploited! The street sign is a rather well known image in the area.
  • Second, Easy Street is somewhere we would all like to be. "Living on Easy Street" means fun, carefree living. We hope the pages of our magazine provide a fun and interesting escape for each and every reader.

How long has the magazine been around?
For over 20 years! Easy Street was formerly known as Aiken County Magazine, and published the first issue in August 1988.

What areas does the magazine serve?
Most of our attention is directed to Aiken, South Carolina and the surrounding communities of North Augusta and Edgefield. We are well on our way to expanding our coverage area and subscription base beyond, though. We now have subscribers in 30 states!
